Conventions, Conferences, & Retreats

Circle K provides numerous opportunities to participate in many activities on both district and international levels. These events can build leadership skills, form new friendships, and provide service opportunities… and of course they are fun, too!

District Convention (DCON)

In March, Circle K members from every club in Michigan gather for District Convention. Each year, one of the district clubs hosts a fun weekend at a local hotel to celebrate a great year of progress and plan for another by electing a new CKI District Board. Activities include local service projects, games, a ballroom dance, workshops, awards, and much more! The 2020 District Convention will be in Allendale, MI hosted by Grand Valley State University.

International Convention (ICON)
International Convention is similar to District Convention, except on a much larger scale. Circle Kers from all over the world travel to attend this five-day event. There are informative workshops, awesome dances, inspiring speakers, a creative service fair, awards, entertaining sessions, and the election of the International Board. The 2020 International Convention will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fall Rally
Every October, Circle K members from all over the Michigan District get together for a weekend of food, fun, and fellowship at a Michigan campsite! Join fellow members as you participate in service projects, workshops, fundraisers, and general camp festivities! The District Board puts on this event and it is a great way to get to know other CKers. The 2019 Fall Rally will be held in Newaygo, MI at Camp Newaygo.

LEAD Con
LeadCon is a 4-hour conference geared towards members who are interested in taking on a leadership position in our club or even just honing their leadership skills. LeadCon will help you to further develop your leadership skills in an engaging, interesting, and interactive manner. You will learn your communication style, how to work better with others, how to improve creativity, and more. LeadCon is held in January or February and each year, it takes on a new and exciting theme, such as LeadCon: Survivor. What will this year’s theme be? You better come find out!

Lovepit
Lovepit is held annually in either January or February. One club from the district is chosen to host Lovepit each year, and the event is held in that college’s home town. This day service-social event generally includes icebreakers, service projects, lunch, fundraisers, and games. The 2020 Lovepit will be held in Dearborn, MI at the University of Michigan- Dearborn.
